Membership Evolution

ESAIC offers multiple membership levels, tailored to suit various needs and career stages. Membership is at the heart of the Society, supporting development, collaboration, and meaningful contributions to the speciality.

From 2022 to 2024, ESAIC membership has shown fluctuations, with a notable peak in 2023, reaching a total of 7,661 members. This growth was driven by increases across all categories, especially trainee and affiliate members. However, total membership slightly declined to 7,230 in 2024, despite a modest rise in allied members.

Trainee membership nearly doubled from 992 in 2022 to 1,761 in 2023, before stabilising at 1,720 in 2024. Affiliate membership also rose significantly from 316 in 2022 to 1,720 in 2023, then remained steady. The number of active members increased steadily from 2,998 in 2022 to 3,627 in 2023, but then dropped slightly to 3,491 in 2024.

Notably, the number of allied members increased each year, reaching 630 in 2024—the highest to date. This data highlights ESAIC’s growing appeal among trainees and allied professionals, while also reflecting a need to sustain momentum among active members. ESAIC continues to support all members through a range of diverse educational and professional development opportunities.
